Category:Spanish academicsThis invention relates to a vapor compression system such as a refrigerant vapor compression system for use in an air conditioning system. The system is of the type that includes a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger.
This invention provides a method for recovering refrigerant for recycling or recharging a refrigerant vapor compression system such as a refrigerant vapor compression system for use in an air conditioning system. The method comprises the steps of (1) heating a refrigerant vapor in the indoor heat exchanger by circulating vapor of the refrigerant through the outdoor heat exchanger, the indoor heat exchanger and the compressor, and (2) separating and recovering a portion of the refrigerant from the vapor of the refrigerant, with the recovered refrigerant being returned to the compressor. In the method, the vapor of the refrigerant is circulated from the outdoor heat exchanger through the compressor and the indoor heat exchanger, the compressor having a suction port to which the refrigerant vapor is first introduced, the compressor having a discharge port from which the refrigerant vapor is discharged, and the compressor having a suction port to which the refrigerant vapor is introduced and a discharge port from which the refrigerant vapor is discharged. The refrigerant vapor is heated by the heat of the compressor, and the refrigerant vapor is separated and recovered from the heated refrigerant vapor.
The refrigerant recovery system may be used in a refrigerant vapor compression system in which the compressor comprises a compressor having a suction port to which refrigerant vapor is introduced from an evaporator and having a discharge port from which refrigerant vapor is discharged, and the refrigerant vapor from the evaporator is circulated through the indoor heat exchanger, the compressor, and the outdoor heat exchanger, the outdoor heat exchanger being connected to the compressor.
